Technical Sales Manager – Manufacturing Industry

Position Overview

We are seeking a high-performing Technical Sales Manager with a proven track record in the manufacturing sector (preferably in the Oil & Gas/Chemicals) to drive revenue growth, build strategic customer relationships, and deliver innovative technical solutions. The ideal candidate will combine engineering expertise with strategic sales acumen, leveraging the latest tools and industry trends to position our products as the preferred choice for customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end sales cycles, from lead generation to deal closure, within manufacturing clients.
  • Identify opportunities by analyzing production processes, equipment efficiency, and operational challenges at client sites.
  • Prepare and present tailored technical proposals, ROI-based business cases, and cost- benefit analyses.
  • Collaborate with design, R&D, and production teams to ensure client specifications are accurately met.
  • Utilize CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho CRM) to manage leads, track opportunities, and forecast sales.
  • Leverage technical tools and software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and Microsoft Project to prepare technical documentation and project plans.
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking and share market intelligence to refine sales strategies.
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination for timely delivery and installation of products.
  • Achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets while maintaining high customer satisfaction levels.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, industrial machinery, automation systems, and quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in technical drawing tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills to influence decision- makers
  • Ability to simplify complex technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a consultative sales approach.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering (B.Tech preferred) from a reputed University.
  •  5–7 years of experience in technical sales within the manufacturing sector.
  • Demonstrated success in managing high-value accounts and achieving sales growth.
  • Multi language capability (spoken Arabic will be an added advantage)

  • Revenue growth in assigned territories.
  • Conversion rate from lead to closure.
  • Customer retention and satisfaction scores.
  •  Number of new accounts acquired.
